Skills You Can Show
Y4ID's courses are short, practical programmes focused on a specific skill. Participants who complete a course and its assessment receive a micro-credential that records the learning outcomes they achieved. Our credentials follow the common structure recommended by the EU for micro-credentials.
Who it's for: young people, young adults, adults, educators and NGO staff; in short, anyone who wants to learn.
What is a micro-credential?
A micro-credential is a record of the knowledge and skills you gain through a short learning experience. These skills are assessed against criteria shared before the course starts.
The credential belongs to you. You can add it to your CV, share it on LinkedIn, or use it in job and scholarship applications.
How it works
- Join a course. Register for one of our periodic courses. Courses may be in person, online or blended.
- Practise. Throughout the course you work on a real task or a small project.
- Get assessed. Your work is assessed against the learning outcomes and criteria shared at the start of the course.
- Receive your credential. Successful participants receive their micro-credential as a European Digital Credential (Europass) carrying Y4ID’s electronic seal.
What’s on the credential?
Every micro-credential includes the standard elements recommended by the EU, so anyone who sees it can tell what you learned, how much effort it took and how you were assessed.

Requirements and credential types
To earn a micro-credential, you must meet the attendance requirement stated in the course announcement and achieve all learning outcomes in the assessment. Results are given as “Achieved” or “Not yet”, not as a score.
- Micro-credential: awarded to participants who meet the attendance requirement and pass the assessment.
- Certificate of participation: awarded to participants who meet the attendance requirement but do not complete or pass the assessment.
Participants who do not pass may complete the missing outcome and resubmit once within 14 days.
Quality assurance
The learning outcomes and assessment criteria of each course are set in writing before it starts and shared with participants. The trainer assesses participants against these criteria. We update our courses every term based on participant feedback.
Upcoming courses
