Youth Participation

Many young people in the Western Balkans face barriers.
This is also true in some regions of Bulgaria.
Roma youth and other disadvantaged groups are often left out.

Youth centres and NGOs want to support them.
But they often lack simple tools.
Green topics, digital safety, and local participation can be hard to explain.

At the same time, many EU youth organisations have strong experience.
They work with youth participation, green practices, and digital tools.
But these methods do not always reach the Western Balkans.

We respond by building practical capacity.
We support youth workers, youth centres, and local organisations.

Our approach includes:

  • digital resources and sharing spaces
  • AI-supported visual tools
  • short story videos
  • digital participation skills for disadvantaged youth

Young people are not just learners.
They lead small community actions.
They take part in local dialogue and decisions.

Through cooperation between EU and Western Balkan youth structures,
youth work becomes stronger, more inclusive, and more creative.

When tools are simple and safe,
young people can join community life with confidence.
